Terms of Service

HRISHQ ("HRISHQ", "we", "us") operates a private, application-only community for HR professionals who work with HR technology. By applying for access, creating an account, or using any part of this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Membership and eligibility

Membership is limited to verified HR, people operations, and payroll professionals. Every application is reviewed by hand. Submitting an application does not entitle you to membership.

• You must provide accurate, current information about yourself and your employer.
• Accounts are personal. Do not share credentials or let others use your access.
• Software vendors, resellers, recruiters, sales representatives and marketers may not join or participate for the purpose of soliciting members.
• We may approve, deny, suspend or revoke access at our sole discretion, at any time, with or without notice or explanation.

2. Community conduct

The value of HRISHQ comes from candid, practitioner-to-practitioner discussion. To keep it that way, you agree not to:

• Solicit, pitch, advertise or recruit members, in public posts or private contact.
• Scrape, export, harvest or resell member information, posts, chapter rosters, reference contacts or directory content.
• Republish another member's posts, comments or identity outside HRISHQ without their permission.
• Post anything unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or in violation of a confidentiality obligation or contract you are subject to, including vendor non-disparagement or pricing-confidentiality clauses.
• Disrupt, probe or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its data.

You are responsible for what you post. You keep ownership of your content, and you grant HRISHQ a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display and distribute it within the platform and its notifications and digests.

3. Communications and consent

By submitting an application or maintaining an account, you expressly consent to receive communications from HRISHQ at the email address and phone number you provide, including:

• Administrative and transactional messages: application status, approvals, account and security notices, password resets, and changes to these terms.
• Community messages: chapter announcements and feed activity, forum replies and mentions, reference requests, digests, and service or class updates.
• Occasional messages about HRISHQ offerings, events and relevant community news.

These communications may be sent by email, phone or text message. Message and data rates may apply. You may manage or turn off community and marketing messages at any time in your account notification settings, or by using the unsubscribe link in an email. Administrative messages tied to your account or application cannot be turned off while your account is active. We do not sell your contact information, and we do not send vendor advertising on anyone's behalf.

4. No professional advice

Everything on HRISHQ — forum posts, replies, chapter discussions, expert answers, directory listings, reviews, references, videos, classes, templates and staff commentary — is provided for general informational and peer-networking purposes only.

It is not legal, tax, accounting, payroll, employment, compliance, security, procurement or other professional advice, and no attorney-client, consultant-client or fiduciary relationship is created by using this site or speaking with anyone on it. Members share personal experience and opinion, not verified fact. Always consult your own qualified advisors and independently verify anything before acting on it.

5. Third parties, directories and references

HRISHQ lists software platforms, consulting firms, brokers and other providers, and connects members with peer companies willing to act as references. Listings, rankings, introductions and references are informational. They are not endorsements, certifications or guarantees of quality, availability, pricing, performance or fitness for your organization.

Any agreement, purchase, negotiation, implementation or engagement you enter into with a vendor, consultant, broker, reference company or other member is solely between you and that party. HRISHQ is not a party to it and has no responsibility for it.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any information on it is correct or current.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HRISHQ, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, moderators and contributors will not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or relating to your use of this website, the community, local chapters, directories, references, classes or services — including anything you learn, read, hear, are told or rely on through them.

This includes, without limitation, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, and any loss of profits, revenue, savings, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or damages arising from software selection, contract terms, pricing, implementation, configuration, data loss, compliance failures, employment decisions or the conduct of any member, vendor, consultant, broker or third party. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to HRISHQ will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In that case our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold HRISHQ harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately, without notice, for any reason, including suspected misuse, misrepresentation of your identity or role, solicitation, or breach of these terms. Sections 4 through 8 survive termination.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an on-site notice. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Wisconsin have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you consent to that venue.
